Plumbing, Mechanical, Water Efficiency Industry Leaders Issue Call for Abstracts for Fifth International Emerging Technologies Symposium
Rolling Meadows, IL (November 12, 2014) — Preparations are already underway for the 2016 International Emerging Technology Symposium (IETS). This bi-annual event focuses on emerging technologies, and the solutions they have provided, to challenges in a range of industry segments including water efficiency, water quality, plumbing and mechanical issues. It is widely considered by attendees and participants to be one of the most comprehensive and informative events with timely discussions on critical topics.
A Call for Abstracts has been issued; downloaded the full details at: http://www.iapmo.org/Documents/IETS_Call_for_Abstract.pdf.
PMI is proud to be one of the nine co-convening organizations for the IETS. Returning co-conveners include: the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA), the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association (PHCC-NA), Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI), the United Association (UA), and the World Plumbing Council (WPC). The ninth co-convener will be the newly signed Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE).
The IETS will gather plumbers, contractors, engineers, manufacturers, and water efficiency experts to introduce new technologies for the plumbing and mechanical industries, and to discuss emerging trends, challenges and opportunities important to anyone who cares about how water is used in the built environment. In addition, the IETS is designed to provide a portal for the host organizations’ partners in the manufacturing, engineering and trade industries to display and demonstrate their innovative solutions to emerging problems and to discuss legislative and regulatory developments that often alter industry landscapes.
Prior presentations and a series of videos from the previous IETS events are available for viewing online at: http://www.youtube.com/user/IAPMOGroup.
Further details are forthcoming, including sponsorship opportunities. For further information, please contact Maria Bazan at (708) 995-3000 or Career.Services@iapmo.org.
